Profil Vertikal Oksigen Terlarut Di Danau Diatas Kabupaten Solok, Sumatera Barat
Dissolved oxygen in the water is originated from diffusion and photosynthesis. As photosynthesis and oxygen diffusion are affected by water depth, dissolved oxygen concentration along the water column is reduced as the depth increase.To understand the vertical profile of dissolved oxygen concentration in the Diatas Lake, aresearch has been conducted from February to March 2017. Water samples were collected from three station namely Station 1 (inlet), Station 2 (in the middle of the lake) and Station 3 (outlet). In each station, vertical sampling is determined based on transparency, namely in the surface, 2 Secchi depth, 4 Secchi depth, 6 Secchi depth and in the bottom of the lake. Results shownthat the dissolved oxygen in the surface was 7.21-7.48 mg/L, in 2 Secchidepth was 5.58-7.34mg/L, in 4 Secchi depth was 6.80-734mg/L, in6 Secchi depth was 6.12-6.66 mg/L and in the bottom was5.98-6.53mg/L. Based on dissolved oxygen concentration Diatas Lake can be categorized as oligotrophic.
