Hubungan Antara Kompetensi Guru Dan Beban Kerja Dengan Stres Kerja Guru SMA Negeri Se-Kecamatan Mandau Kabupaten Bengkalis

The objective of this research was to analyze the correlation between teachers’ competence and work stress, work load towards work stress, and both teachers’ competence and work load towards work stress. There were three variables in this research, one dependent variable, work stress (Y) and two independent variables, teachers’ competence (X1) and work load (X2). The respondents of the research were teachers of State Senior High School in Mandau sub-district, Bengkalis with the total of 160 teachers altogether obtained by applying Proportional Random Sampling technique. The data were collected using a set of questionnaire. Prior to the conduct of the research, the validity and the reliability of the instrument were tested. The data were analyzed by way of descriptive analysis, statistical analysis and hypothesis testing. Based on the findings of the research, the coefficient correlation showed that there was a significant correlation between teachers’ competence and work stress of 0,679; there was also a correlation between workload towards work stress of 0,543; and there was a correlation of both teachers’ competence and work load towards work stress of 0,757.
