Kajian Kearifan Lokal Dalam Menjaga Kelestarian Hutan Larangan Adat Imbo Putui Desa Petapahan Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau

The research is aimed to conduct deep description of the ecological and social characteristic of restricted forest Imbo Putui. The sociological history and the institutional role of restricted forest Imbo Putui. The research was held in the village of Petapahan, where the restricted forest is outspread, for 2 (two) mounts from September until October 2016. This research is a qualitative study using the case study method. Its ecological characteristics are consisted of kingdom phase, new order phase and reformation phase. Within the kingdom phase, the restricted forest was functioned as hunting and meditation area. In new order phase and reformation phase it have been being purposed for much more various needs of community. Based on the scale of its covering, the restricted forest has been shrinking over the past twenty years. Its social characteristics of the community of the village of Petapahan are in the form of values and norms. The local knowledge toward the forest are the limited uses of woods, no burning technique, protection of tree with bee nests, fruit’s tree. These values and local knowledge have been preserve and conserve the existence of the restricted forest Imbo Putui. Its institutional history was initiated by the values of its community and followed by its prominent figures wise people/ indigenous, traditional local authority, assisted farmer group, and the local young people. The consciousness of the community toward its environmental and inheritance values were end up with formulation of local rules on how to utilize and manage the restricted forest Imbo Putui. The institutional roles have been proceeding as it has to be. Custom and social sanctions of its community have been accordance with the perspective of traditional local authority.
