Analisa Perancangan Precission Approach Path Indicator (Papi) Pada Perpanjangan Runway 36 Bandar Udara Sultan Syarif Kasim Ii Pekanbaru
Sultan Syarif Kasim II Pekanbaru’s Airport is the third busiest airport in Sumatra. So it needs development for renewal of runway and navigation tools maintenance. At this time has been done the extension of the runway 36 for 360 meters, so that condition of runway now is 2600 x 45 meters. A result of this runway extension, the position of the Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) lamphas displaced the position from 280 meters from threshold to 330 meters PAPI is a most important landing navigation tool. PAPI is supplied by using the Constant Current Regulator (CCR) to stabilize the current although the load increases or decreases with the maximum output voltage capacity is 606 volts/ 6.6 A. With this extension it is necessary to extend the CCR installation cable extension to PAPI. From the calculation and analysis of the 360 m runway extension, the airport does not need to change the new CCR unit, due to 80% of the power generated by CCR units of 4 KVA is 3.2 KVA still fully installed 932, 42 watt. From the result of voltage drop calculation on PAPI the voltage is 181,1 volt. This voltage is smaller than 606 volts, so the size of the cable chosen by the airport can still be used.
