Keanekaragaman Genetik Kupu-Kupu (Sub Ordo Rhopalocera) Berdasarkan Karakter Morfologi Di Kawasan Universitas Riau Pekanbaru Dan Desa Siabu Kampar Provinsi Riau
Riau University, Tampan, Pekanbaru City and Siabu Village, Kampar District, Riau Province are two different habitats for butterflies and it is suggested producing genetic diversity of butterflies’ morphological characters. This study aims to analyze the genetic diversity of butterflies in Riau University, Tampan, Pekanbaru City and Siabu Village, Kampar District, Riau Province based on morphological characters. The research was conducted in December 2016 until May 2017. The location of the butterfly collection in Siabu Village was conducted in three locations, namely secondary forest, rubber plantation, and local residence, while in Riau of University, Tampan, Pekanbaru City was also conducted in three locations, namely UR Arboretum, Plantation of UPT Faperta UR, and UR Rusunawa. The captured butterflies were identified and characterized by morphological features. The data was then analyzed using NTSYSpc version 2.02i and Microsoft Office Excel 2007 programs. Total butterflies obtained in this study amounted to 363 individuals consisting of 5 families, 13 subfamilies, 32 genera, and 47 species. In this study, there was no difference in the shape and color of butterfly populations from Pekanbaru and Kampar. Qualitative characters (shape and color) in butterflies found in both sites were more influenced by genotype than environmental. The differences of butterfly populations from both sites were detected on the body size, which means that the body size was more influenced by interaction between the genotype and its environment. The genetic diversity of butterflies in both sites was high, approximately 79%.
