Hubungan Tingkat Pengetahuan Tentang Hipertensi Dengan Terkontrolnya Tekanan Darah Pada Pasien Hipertensi Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau

Hypertension was a common public health problem in developing countries. The patient's knowledge of hypertension was essential so that the patient can control his blood pressure. This study aims to analyze the relationship of knowledge level about hypertension with controlled blood pressure in hypertensive patients in Arifin Achmad hospital Riau Province. The research method was analytic research with cross sectional approach. Place of study in Arifin Achmad hospital with sample of 64 samples. Instruments used was knowledge about hypertension was questionnair, blood pressure data was taken with spygmomanometer. The result showed that knowledge level very high was 48,9%. Hypertensive patients with uncontrolled blood pressure were 55 (62.5%). Data were analyzed using Fisher test and shows results p> 0.05. It can be concluded there was’nt relationship between level of knowledge about hypertension with controlled blood pressure in hypertensive patients at hospital Arifin Achmad Riau Province
