Pengawasan Peredaran Daging Sapi Impor di Kota Pekanbaru
Beef is one of animal protein source comodity as basic needs of food. Beef’s stck in Pekanbaru already able to fullfil citizens need of it. To keep stocking and price stabilization, government import beef. Despite beef import already supplied in Pekanbaru, local beef’s price still expensive. The problem is beef import cheaper than local beef and local beef demand still high so that cause beef cheating by pour local and import beef.
The purpose of this research is to know monitor beef import cycle. This research uses qualitative research methods, with the study of descriptive data. In data collection, researchers using the technique of interviewing, observation, and documentation, using key informants as a source of information.
The results of this research show that which became reference in the implementation of administrative licensing standards, imported beef pricing and quality. The activity Monitoring or supervision of the circulation of imported beef is done periodically or at any time in case of problems should be immediately acted upon. Internal barriers faced by the related Department in conducting surveillance against the circulation of beef imports, namely human resources is not proportional to the coverage as well as distribution area of oversight means less effective coordination area is going. External obstacles facing that is still low awareness importer or trader in obeying government rules that have been set. Beside that, less citizen participating.
