Breast cancer is a malignancy of cells in the breast tissue, that can be treated with several measures such as local therapy and systemic therapy. Breast cancer and its treatment have an impact like physical and psychological. The physical impact include body image disorder and the psychological impacts are depression, stress, and anxiety. Not all breast cancer patients can accept the condition, emotional changes may occur because they can not accept body changes. If the individual can manage emotions well, it will give a good solution. The purpose of this study is to explore the experiences of breast cancer patients accept their disease. This study used qualitative research design with phenomenological approach. The data was collected obtained by conducting semi-structured interviews toward three participants were selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis used was thematic analysis using Creswell approach. The result of this study involved three main themes, acceptance of disease, time of acceptance, and the process of disease acceptance. The result of this study showed that acceptance of breast cancer is required the support from family, so the patients with breast cancer get motivation to accept their disease and do the treatment.It is suggested to nurse to improve nursing care service in psychosocial and religious approach, and for cancer patient family to give support to cancer patient so that cancer patient is motivated to recover.
