Perancangan Antena Mikrostrip Planar Array 8 Elemen Patch Lingkaran Dengan 2 Slot C Dan Defected Ground Structure (Dgs) Untuk Jaringan Komunikasi Lte 1800 Mhz
LTE (Long Term Evolution) is the development of a fourth generation telecommunications network. LTE is able to communicate data faster and more accurately than previous technologies, with uplink speeds of up to 50 megabits per second (Mbps) and downlink speeds of up to 100 Mbps. in Indonesia, LTE was initially realized in 2014, one of them in the 1800 MHz frequency range.
In this research, microstrip antenna circular patch single element, 2 elements, 4 elements, 6 elements, and 8 elements planar array used Defected Ground Structure (DGS) technique was designed for LTE 1800 MHz wireless comunication network. The proposed antena used planar array technique for enhance the gain and DGS technique used to get the widen bandwidth for the antenna designed. The substrate FR-4 with dielectric constant of 4,3 and thickness of 1,6 mm is chosen. The proposed antenna is simulated by using the software CST microwave studio 2015. The microstrip antenna circular patch 8 element planar array with microstrip line feeding provides optimal results with impedance bandwidth of 22,2 % or 400 MHz with return loss of – 32,626 dB and VSWR ≤ 1,0479. The antenna designed shows the optimum results in accordance with the parameters of 4G LTE antenna with the gain of 13,8 dBi.
