Pengaruh Motivasi Belajar Dan Gender Terhadap Prestasi Belajar Siswa Kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Se Kabupaten Kampar
The background of this reseach is the exitence of students’ learning achievements is still low and learning achivement different in 10th grade Madrasah Aliyah Negeri in Kampar District. The learning achivement of male students is still low at 65,4%, while female students are 51,9%. Learing achivements are still low and different in this research allegendly influenced by learning motivation which is in internal factor, and gender is thought to be a tendency for differences in learning motivation and learning achivement of male and female students.
This study aims to determine theeffect of learning motivation and gender to wards the learning achivement of 10th grade students Madrasah Aliyah Negeri in Kampar District. This research method use descriptive quantitative. The population in this reaserch is madrasah aliyah students in kampar District with the number 208 people with sampling of 137 people with technique probability sampling with random sampling. The data obtained by observation and distributing questionnaires to respondents. Data was analyzed using descriptive percentages and non parametric using the chi square tool with nominal data at the real (α) 0,05.
The results showed that: 1. Learning motivation doesnt have a significant correltion with the gender and the value of chi square counts 0,048. 2. Gender doesnt have a significant correlation with learning achievement and the value of chi square counts 6,190. 3. Learing motivation doesnt have a significant effer of learning achievement and t value counts -0,505. The conclusions of this research are high or low learning motivation not because these students female or male. Learning motivation will exist if the students have expectations and aspirations to be achieved. Gender is a biological aspect as a differentiator for students male and female. So that female or male students have the same ability to achieve good learning achievement . Learning motivation is a part of the factors that affect students achivement, but there are many other factors contribute to affect the learning achivement such as interests and the role of parents. So the learning motivation is not overly affect the students in learning achivement.
