Analisis Kualitas Air Sumur Gali Berdasarkan Parameter Biologis Escherichia Coli Di Desa Penampi Kecamatan Bengkalis Kabupaten Bengkalis Provinsi Riau
Environmental conditions can affect public health, poor environmental sanitation due to clean water used to meet basic needs polluted by E. coli bacteria. The dug well is one of the sources of clean water for the Penampi Village community in Bengkalis Island, which is potentially contaminated with E. coli bacteria due to its physical construction and the presence of pollutant sources in the vicinity. This study aims to analyze the physical condition of dug wells, the content of E. coli bacteria in dug well water and the influence of pollutant sources on dug well water in the settlements of Penampi Village. This research was carried out on 27 July to 17 October 2018 by taking 15 samples of dug wells in Penampi Village, Bengkalis regency. The research method uses a survey method with a quantitative approach and analyzed with Fisher Exact.
The results of the study showed that 100% of dug wells in Penampi Village did not meet the physical construction requirements as seen from the criteria of wells wall, the edge of the well (parapet wall), well floor and sewerage. This dug well is generally built outside the house (outdoor) which is only in the form of excavation of land with a depth of ± 3 meters and only uses shallow groundwater or rainwater infiltration. From observations of the pollution sources are known, 10 wells are 8-9 meters away from the latrine, 12 wells are 7-9 meters from the septic tank, 3 wells are 9 meters from the landfill, 9 wells are 7-9 meters from the household waste disposal sites and 1 well is 10 meters away from the cattle pen so that they do not meet environmental health requirements. While 5 wells are 11-20 meters away from latrines, 3 wells are 15-20 meters away from septic tanks, 12 wells are 12-20 meters away from landfills, 6 wells are 12-20 meters away from household waste disposal sites and 14 wells are > 20 meters away from the cattle pen so that it meets environmental health requirements.
Coliform and E. coli test results of dug wells respondents based on Minister of health regulation Number 32 year 2017 is known that 26.7% contained Coliform 50 CFU/100 ml of water (did not meet health requirements) and 100% contained E. coli> 0 CFU / 100 ml of water (did not meet health requirements).
Fisher Exact analysis results at a level (α) of 5% are known to have an effect between the distance of latrines with wells (P value 0.004), distance of septic tank with wells (P value 0.009) and the distance of the place of household waste disposal site with wells (P value 0.011) to the content of Coliform well water, but there is no effect between the distance of the place of waste disposal site with wells (P value 0.516) and the distance of cattle pen with wells (P value 1,000) to the content of Coliform well water. The community is advised to pay attention to fulfilling the physical requirements of dug wells and environmental sanitation to avoid contamination of Coliform and E. coli.
