Pembangunan Purwarupa (Prototype) Sistem Informasi Spasial Berbasis Web Emisi Gas Metana (CH4) Lahan Basah Dari Citra Satelit Landsat 8 Di Kabupaten Siak (Path 126 Row 59)
Wetland has been considered important because of its function as biogeochemical cycles and as the main natural source of methane gas (CH₄) in the atmosphere. CH₄ emission from wetland is one of natural contributor to the greenhouse effect. The purpose of this study is to build a webGIS prototype that contains information about the distribution of CH₄ emission from wetland in Siak Region using open source softwares. Wetland classes and area were obtained from Landsat 8 satellite imagery acquisition date on 26 June 2016 using Supervised Classification method. Wetland classes exstracted result were water, forest, moist area, mangrove, swamp, and rice field. CH₄ emission was estimated using parameters respectively CH₄ flux, wetland area, temperature factor, productivity factor, and precipitation and evaporation ratio. Development of the system prototype used System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach. The distribution of spatial CH₄ emission information was showed on map and tested for its reliability using questionnaire. The result said that it could be implemented as a way to retrieve map-based CH₄ emission information by stakeholders which the average respondents chose greater than 3 (likert scale, 3 = reliable enough) at 95% confidence level.
