Hubungan Infestasi Pediculus Humanus Capitis Dengan Statu Gizi Pada Anak Di Enam Panti Asuhan Kota Pekanbaru
Pediculosis capitis is an infectious disease that is still considered as a non serious disease and is still neglected so that it becomes a health problem. Pediculus humanus capitis transmission is through direct contact or objects that are used simultaneously. Symptoms include intense itching and are followed by scratch marks and secondary infections. Pediculosis capitis is an infectious disease, infectious disease is one of the factors that can affect nutritional status in children. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Pediculus humanus capitis infestation and nutritional status in children in six orphanages in Pekanbaru City. The number of orphaned children examined was 122 people from al lthe six orphanages in Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted in July 2019 to January 2020 with analytic methods using cross sectional. The examination result obtained positive pediculus humanus capitis infestation in all female children (100%) and mostly in age groups 13-18 years (45,4%) with unstraight hair (53,8%) and in children whose hair is longer than shoulder length (100%). In this research there was no significant relation between Pediculus humanus capitis infestation and nutritional status with p value 0.257 (p value> 0.05). Children in six orphanages in Pekanbaru City have good nutritional status and the incidence of P.h.capitis infestation in the six institutions is 40.2%.
