Komponen Keragaman Dan Adaptasi Beberapa Genotipe Kedelai (Glycine Max (L.) Merril) Pada Dua Kondisi Naungan Sesuai Umur Tanaman Kelapa Sawit
This research was conducted to determine the adaptation of several soybean genotypes planted in two shade conditions according to the age of the oil palm plantations. This study was conducted by using a split plot design with 3 replications. Three levels of shading including shading caused by 3 years old oil palm tree, 5 years old oil palm tree and control were assigned as the main plots. Eight soybean genotypes such as Anjasmoro, Agromulyo, Burangrang, Dena 1, Devon 1, Devon 2, Grobogan and Dega 1 were assigned to the sub plot. Parameters observed were flowering date, harvesting date, dry matter accumulation rate (KPBK), effective seed filling period ( WPE), plant height, internode length, number of filled pods, number of grain per plant, weight of seeds per plant, harvest index, yield per square meter, weight of 100 seeds, seed oil content and seed protein content.
Significant genetic variability were observed for flowering date, weight of 100 seeds, seed oil content and seed protein content, but not for harvest date, KPBK, WPE, plant height, length of internodes, number of seeds per plant, weight of seeds per plant, harvest index and yield per m2. Heritability of flowering date, weight of 100 seeds, seed oil content and seed protein content was significantly different from zero and was considered as higher values.
Adaptability test indicated that Dena 1, Devon 2 and Grobogan have relatively better growth, greater yield components and adapted to shading caused by 3 years old oil palm plantations especially on flowering date, harvesting date, KPBK, WPE, plant height, internode length, number of filled pods, grain yield per m2, weight of 100 seeds, seed oil content and protein content. However, other cultivars were considered as unadapted to shading caused by 3 and 5 years old oil palm tree.
