Eksistensi Tradisi Mandi Safar Didesa Tanjung Punak Kecamatan Rupat Utara Kabupaten Bengkalis

The tradition of bathing safar began as a tradition in the month of Safar in order to avert on the trust of the community. The villagers of Tanjung Punak consistently still carry out the tradition of bathing safar. The purpose of this research is: (1) finding out the existence of a tradition of bathing safar in the life of the villagers of Tanjung Punak (2) knowing the reason the villagers of Tanjung Punak still maintain the tradition of bathing safar. The methods used in this research is qualitative method. The location of the research carried out in the village of Tanjung Rupat Utara, Punak district, Bengkalis Regency, to the subject of research is the primary advocates the implementation of tradition and community leaders who follow the tradition of bathing safar. The focus of the research in this study is to describe the implementation of bathing tradition safar, and lay out the reasons for the villagers of Tanjung Punak still do the tradition of bathing safar bathing traditions, as well as the existence of safar in the village of Tanjung Punak. The results of this research concluded the following: (1) the tradition of bathing safar began from a form of public confidence about the existence of the month of safar which is the month of naas community shelter from evil in that to God Almighty by bathing with water use has been given, the tradition of bathing safar was once only done every individual, but with the passing of various shower a long process, safar Tanjung Punak have done in a rollicking on the beach. (2) the villagers of Tanjung Punak still maintain the tradition of safar bathing tradition because it turns is still very functional in the social life of the villagers of Tanjung Punak.
