Motivasi Anak Memilih Sekolah Di Pesantren Modern Al-Amin Desa Rawang Kao Kecamatan Lubuk Dalam Kabupaten Siak

This research was conducted in Rawang Kao village, Lubuk Dalam Sub district, Siak Regency. The objective of this study is the first, second, and third year students of Al-Amin Boarding School. This research aims at detecting and knowing what motivate students to study at Al-Amin Boarding School. The population of this study is the first, second, and third year students of Islamic Junior High School (Madrasah Tsanawiyah). While the sampling of this research is the students of the first, second, and third using proportionate stratified random sampling by taking a precision of is 15% of the total number of three (3) classes. Then the numbers of samples of this study were 37 students of Al-Amin Boarding School. Then the data were analyzed by using descriptive quantitative method. Based on this analysis, it was found that the student’s motivation choose Al-Amin Boarding School consisting of internal and external factors. The internal factors are the dominant reason why students choose to study at Al-Amin Boarding School such as their own decision, interest, and their dreams. Compared to the external one which are based on the encouragement of their parents and influence of friends
