Karakteristik Dan Survei Darah Jari Pasca Pengobatan Pasien Filariasis Di Dua Kecamatan Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu Provinsi Riau Tahun 2019
Filariasis (elephantiasis) is a chronic infectious disease caused by filarial worms (Wuchereria bancrofti, Brugia malayi and Brugia timori) and is transmitted by Mansonia, Anopheles, Culex, Aedes and Armigeres mosquitoes. The worm lives in the ducts and lymph nodes with acute clinical manifestations of recurrent fever, canal inflammation and lymph nodes. Riau Province is ranked eleventh in Indonesia on cases of filariasis, one of the highest districts is Indragiri Hulu. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics and finger blood surveys after filariasis treatment in two districts of Indragiri Hulu in 2019. This study used a descriptive observational method with a cross sectional approach. The data collection of this study was carried out at 8:00 to 12:00 p.m to patients with post-filariasis treatment by using interview and taking finger blood surveys for identification of microfilaria species. The research from 21 samples of filariasis patient results that filariasis most occurred in productive age group (15-64 years) with 15 people (71.43%), mostly in female gender with 11 people (52.38%), mostly occurred in outdoor occupation with 12 people (57.14 %) and finger blood surveys resulted that microfilaria were not identified. The incidence of filariasis of post-treatment patients in two districts in Indragiri Hulu was mostly in productive age group, female gender, outdoor occupation, and microfilaria were not found.
