Fasilitas Permainan Tradisional Melayu Riau Dengan Penerapan Prinsip Desain Daniel Libeskind Di Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
Pekanbaru City has a diversity of children’s playgrounds. The playgrounds can
be generally be found in a mall or indoor commercial centres that tend to provide
modern games. Modern games common as a consequence of increasingly
sophisticated technology. Unlike to old days, children prefer playing on the open
ground. The conditions of these two different things between modern games and
traditional games are beginning to be marked by the increasing number of types
of modern games and the loss of traditional games. The traditional game in
question is a type of game that originated from the Riau Malay region. One type
of game is congklak, statak, gasing and so on. Therefore, the title of the Malay
Malay traditional game facility is chosen so that this traditional game can be
preserved, especially children can play while learning about traditional values.
With the concept of motion design in playing Statak, this facility is mainly
designed as a playground. The concept is developed by using a survey as a
primary method data, and various literature and technical standards as
secondary methods. The design adapts the design principles of Daniel Libeskind
to develop a modern facility design within traditional values. Even though in
geometrical shapes, the design is safe and user friendly to the movement of
children.
