Gambaran Eritrosit Ikan Jambal Siam (Pangasius Hypophthalmus) Terinfeksi Edwardsiella Tarda Dan Diobati Dengan Larutan Daun Mangga Apel (Mangifera Indica)
Mangifera indica has a good potensial as antibacterial and its contents tannins,
flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins and then steroid. This research has been conducted from
November to December 2019 at the Laboratory of Parasites and Fish Diseases Fisheries and
Maritime Faculty of Riau University. The aim of this study was to understand ant find out
the best dose of Mangifera indica solution for the curing of P. hypophthalmus that were
infected with Edwardsiella tarda. The method used was an experimental with a Completely
Randomized Design (CRD), for five factors and consist of three replication. Fish sample
were ranged from 8-12 cm, with a total of 150 fishes. The treatments applied were P1 (1000
ppm), P2 (1200 ppm), P3 (1400 ppm), negative controls (fishes were not infected with E.
tarda and not treated with Mangifera solution), and positive controls (the fishes were infected
E. tarda and not treated M. indica solution). Parameters measured were total erythrocytes,
hemoglobin levels, hematocrit values, and survival rate. The results showed that M. indica
solution were able to cured E. tarda infection in P. hypophthslmud. The best treatment in this
study was P2 (1200 ppm), with total erythrocytes (140,33 x 104 cells / mm3), hemoglobin
level (9,03 g / dL), hematocrit value (37.00 %), and the survival rate was 86.67%. The water
quality were temperature range from 27.00 - 27.46 0C, pH 6.1 - 6.77, dissolved oxygen 3,53 –
3,87 mg / L, and ammonia 0,02 mg /L.
