Potensi Dan Strategi Pengelolaan Mata Air Sikumbang Di Desa Pulau Sarak Kecamatan Kampar Kabupaten Kampar
Pulau Sarak Village has a clean water source known as Sikumbang
Springs. The Sikumbang Springs is exploited by the community as a source of
clean water for the drinking water business to meet the household water needs of
the people of Pulau Sarak Village as well as those from areas outside of Pulau
Sarak Village such as Air Tiris, Bangkinang and Pekanbaru. In 2019 the number
of drinking water businesses at Sikumbang Springs was 9 (nine) managers. The
management of the drinking water business at Sikumbang Springs is still carried
out individually and is traditional. Management does not include environmental
preservation. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain the resources of the
Sikumbang Springs to be available in quantity and quality that meet the drinking
water standard requirements, both now and in the future.
The aim of this study was to analyze the potential of the Sikumbang
Springs and analyze the management strategy of the Sikumbang Springs in the
Pulau Sarak Village, Kampar District, Kampar Regency. The method used in this
research is a survey method. The data collected is the quantity and quality data of
the Sikumbang Spring. The data on the quantity of Sikumbang Springs consist of
debit data from the Sikumbang Springs which is obtained using the volumetric
method. The analysis of water quality data in this study was the coliform test in
the laboratory, while the analysis of the management strategy of the Sikumbang
Springs water used SWOT analysis.
The results showed that the value of water availability from March to
December 2020 was 247 million liters. The need for clean water for household
needs in Kampar sub-district is 6,3 ((liters / day) / person), so that the
community's water needs in Kampar sub-district in 2019 is 310,697 liters / day.
The average daily discharge of Sikumbang Springs is 808,272 liters / day. The
discharge value of Sikumbang Springs exceeds the value of its needs and can be
used as an alternative in meeting community water needs. Based on the results of
the SWOT analysis on the management of the Sikumbang Spring, the strategy that
can be applied is an aggressive strategy (development), namely that its
management must optimize the use of the Sikumbang Spring as a source of clean
water to meet household water needs and improve the marketing system.
