Persepsi Laki-Laki Pada Masyarakat Melayu Terhadap Program Keluarga Berencana (Kb) (Studi Pada Masyarakat Melayu Di Kecamatan Senapelan Kota Pekanbaru)
Men's participation in both birth control practices and in maternal and child health care including maternal mortality prevention remains low. To lower the Maternal Mortality Rate, a national movement is needed that also engages all parties with comprehensive, measurable and balanced programs and activities that ultimately the role of men/husbands in the KB program will be able to encourage the improvement of the quality of birth control services, the improvement of equality and gender justice, the increase in respect for human rights. The research method used is qualitatively descriptive. Thus the researchers determined the number of samples as many as five study subjects. The collection of research data is done with interviews.
This research is titled Perception of Men in Malay Society towards Family Planning Program (KB) (Study on Malay Society in Senapelan District of Pekanbaru City. Research conducted found social value of children is like saving money and self-esteem for couples who previously had no children and being the 'banter' of society. Malay men still hold the firm admonition of the former parents that many children are reski. the more children, the more abundant the reski. The Child is an Almighty gift that is worthy of gratitude and can draw his parents closer to the Almighty.
