Metrosexual man are known as the man who love oneself, take a good care of himself, narcissistic and love to do things that usually done by women. For metrosexual man, self care is important for the sake of one`s happiness and satisfaction, hence their life quality increase and looks good in the eyes of others. The occurance of metrosexual man increases paticulary in large cities, such as Pekanbaru City. Due to the increase number of men and women who like to receive self care by experts, there are quite a lot of man who come to receive face and body treatment in this beauty clinic and they find it usual for man to do such things. The aim of this research is to find out the motivation of metrosexual man doing self care. The researcher use purposive sampling to obtain sample. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive research. This study applied signified and signifier theory by J. Baudrillard. The conclusion of this study showed that metrosexual men who go to beauty clinic to receive self care, are more likely to boost their confident in order to look cleaner and look good for others. The motivation to do self care comes from within men who like to apper clean and fashionable in front of others.
