Abstract: Novels are well-known works of fiction in society, much in demand by
teenagers so that they have become the most popular since then until now. A literary
work in which various kinds of life phenomena include sadness, happiness and evil. The
novel Jalan Panjang Menuju Pulang, written by Pipiet Senja, tells the journey of a
female character who is a victim of sexual violence. This research discusses the form and
impact of sexual violence on the main character in the novel Jalan Panjang Menuju
Pulang. The formulation of the research problem is, what is the form and impact of
sexual violence on the main character. The purpose of this study is to describe the forms
and impacts of sexual violence on the main character. The research benefit is to increase
readers' understanding and knowledge about the forms and impacts of sexual violence on
the main character in the novel Jalan Panjang Menuju Pulang. The theory used is sexual
violence which includes the form and impact of sexual violence. The research method
used is a qualitative method by describing the data in the form of words. This research
data collection technique is literature study. Analytical techniques educate data, present
data and draw final conclusions. The research data amounted to 37 data. The data is
divided into two parts, the forms of sexual violence and the impact of sexual violence.
Forms of sexual violence are divided into three parts, namely sexual harassment 8 data,
rape 1 data, torture 11 data. There are 15 figures on the impact of trauma from sexual
violence. Details of the 15 data, from the impact of trauma experienced by the characters
are avoidance behavior 3 data, anti-social behavior 1 data, depression 2 data, excessive
fear 5 data, low self-confidence 2 data, withdraw 1 data, physical form 3 data.
