Penyalahgunaan Narkoba Di Kalangan Siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Kota Lubuk Pakam
Drug misused has implications for life and health, and everyone is at risk for addiction if they have tried this dangerous substance. Its distribution is also very unsettling and easy to obtain, thus increasing the number of uses. According to the BNN survey, North Sumatra is also a drug-prone area and is actively taking action to eradicate Narcotics, especially among students. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the level of drug misused among high school students and what are the factors behind drug missued among high school students. This study aims to provide consideration or input for local governments in addressing drug cases and to provide information to readers about the portrait of drug use among high school students. This study uses the Differential Association theory proposed by Edwin Sutherland. This research method uses descriptive quantitative method with the sampling technique using the Slovin formula.The technique of determining the sample uses proportional sampling. From the results of this study it can be concluded how the level of drug use among high school students in Lubuk Pakam City is measured from the frequency of using it. The results of this study indicate that the frequency of using cigarettes, alcoholic beverages and marijuana is categorized as high. It is said to be high if you use these drugs more than three times. The results of this study indicate that the environmental factor of the residence is a factor that is categorized as high, which means it affects drug abuse among high school students in Lubuk Pakam City, because the respondents answered that many local residents use drugs, there are also many liquor sellers in their neighborhood.
