Pelanggaran Lalu Lintas Pengendara Sepeda Motor Di Kota Pekanbaru

The purpose of this study is to analyze the causes of traffic violations by motorcyclists in Pekanbaru City and to analyze the efforts of motorcyclists in obeying traffic regulations in Pekanbaru City.
This research is qualitative with a descriptive approach that emphasizes the subjective aspects and behavior of people who are gathered through interviews and field observations. The informants in this study were 10 (ten) drivers, 1 (one) people who care about transportation and 1 (one) Pekanbaru City Police officers.
The research results note that 1). The causes of traffic violations by motorcyclists in Pekanbaru City include the low level of awareness and also the lack of sanctions imposed by motorists, causing traffic rule violations to still occur. 2). The efforts of motorcyclists in obeying traffic regulations in Pekanbaru City are by taking action and education on traffic safety.
