Strategi Konservasi Ikan Selais (Kryptopterus Lais) Di Danau Bandar Kayangan Kecamatan Rumbai Pesisir Kota Pekanbaru

This research was conducted from February to July 2019, in the waters of Bandar Kayangan Lake, Lembah Sari Village, Rumbai Pesisir District, Pekanbaru City. The aim of this research is to analyze the conservation conditions and the impact of K.lais conservation on the Bandar Kayangan Lake environment, as well as to formulate a tourism-based strategy of tais fish conservation in Bandar Kayangan Lake. This research consisted of three stages, namely 1) the conservation conditions of K.lais., 2) analysis of the impact of conservation on the environment, and 3) formulation of a tourism-based strategy for the conservation of K.lais. The results showed that the stocking density of 40 individuals/m3 was a suitable stocking density for K.lais. conservation activities in Bandar Kayangan Lake. Clarity ranges from 36-75 cm, depth ranges from 0.54-2.25 m, TSS ranges from 7-40 mg/L, pH ranges from 5-8.4, dissolved oxygen ranges from 1-11 mg/L, carbon dioxide ranges from 3-10 mg/L, COD ranged from 6.2-93.4 mg/L, nitrate ranged from 0.169 to 0.7939 mg/L, ammonia ranged from 0.0286-0.2577 mg/L, and phosphate ranged from 0.1744-0.3666 mg/L. The impact of conservation, ecological, economic, and technological dimensions is in the sustainable category, while the legal-institutional dimension is in the less sustainable category. Furthermore, the strategy for the conservation of K.lais in Bandar Kayangan Lake can be directed at setting the location of the cage which can be used as a fishing location for the community.
