Perancangan Pesantren Tahfidz Di Tembilahan Dengan Pendekatan Energy Conscious Design

ABSTRACT
The development of children up to the age of adolescence needs more attention to the
surrounding social environment, so that it can produce children of the nation who have morals
and morality. The lack of social roles from parents and the surrounding environment causes
the psychological development of children to be less mature. The design of the Tahdfidz Islamic
Boarding School using the theme of energy conscious design in Tembilahan is a place for
housing and social religious education that aims to study, memorize, and apply the Qur'an as
a stage to improve and maintain the morale and quality of the nation's children which is
increasingly declining. The Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School in Tembilahan is made for
children and teenagers, specifically children who attend elementary, junior high, high school
levels so that later they grow up they can instill Islamic values so that they grow into human
beings who have morals and are more knowledgeable. In designing this Tahfidz Islamic
Boarding School, the author applies the principle of Energy Conscious Design because this
theme describes the utilization of the existing climate around the site for energy savings in the
boarding school building. Energy Conscious Design in its design concept uses climate as an
energy saving system. In its application, it can make cross ventilation and many openings so
that the room in the building can feel cool without using air conditioning. Then many openings
can be made in the form of windows so that bright light can enter the room so that it can save
electrical energy.
