In social life, there is an adaptation of an adjustment to the environment, this adjustment can mean changing oneself according to environmental conditions, it can also mean changing the environment according to personal desires. The social life of the Roll on Roll off ferry officers referred to in this study are ship employees who work on Ro-Ro ships, Roll on Roll off ferry officers come from various regions in Indonesia who are assigned to the ship and there are also Bengkalis people who work on the ship. For the Ro-Ro ship, the Bengkalis Regency government cooperates with a third party in carrying out the crossing from Sungai Selari to Air Putih Bengkalis and vice versa, in this crossing the companies used are PT. Bridge Nusantara and PT. Atosim Lampung Pelayaraan. The research was carried out in Bengkalis Regency, precisely at the roll on roll off ferry crossing to Sungai Selari to Air Putih in Bengkalis Regency, every day the ship sails with the same destination, namely from Sungai Selari to Air Putih and vice versa to transport passengers, goods and other vehicles. The results of the study show that how is the social life of the roll on roll off ferry officers in adapting to the environment, society and their families who are in their hometowns.
