Pengawasan Dinas Kebudayaan Provinsi Riau Terhadap Pengelolaan Museum Sang Nila Utama Di Kota Pekanbaru Tahun 2018

Supervision can be interpreted as a process for implementing what work is
planned, assessing it and if necessary correcting it with the intention that the
implementation of the work is in accordance with the original plan. The Riau
Provincial Cultural Office carries out guidance and supervision of the main Nila
Museum. Supervision is carried out through an assessment of Museum institutions
and Museum management. But supervision has not been carried out optimally by the
Culture Service, because the main Nila Museum has lost some rare collections. The
loss of several collections of items in the Museum is the formulation of the problem in
this stud.
The purpose of the this research is to find out the supervision of the Riau
Provincial Cultural Office on the main Sang Nila Museum and to find out the
inhibiting factors for the Culture Service in supervising the main Sang Nila Museum
in Pekanbaru City. This research approach uses a qualitative approach, the type of
research used is qualitative research. Data collection techniques used in this study
are interwiews and documentation, of data analysis techniques used are descriptive
qualitative analysis.
The result of this research is that supervision is carried out through an
assessment of the institution and management of the Museum. This shows that the
supervision carried out the Museum institution is in accordance with the applicable
rules. By carrying out supervision of government agencies will not be separated from
obstacles or obstacles. In supervising th Riau Provincial Cultural Office, ther are
also obstacles in supervising the main Nila Museum. One of the obstacles faced by
the Riau Provincial Cultural Office is human resources. In organizing this the
department experienced a shortage of staff, then the obstacle faced by the department
of Cultural in supervising the Museum was the budget.
