Manajemen Kegiatan Ekstrakurikuler Teater Dalam Membentuk Karakter Siswa Dan Meningkatkan Prestasi Ekstrakurikuler Teater Di SMKN 1 Pekanbaru
The objectives of this study were to: 1) describe the management of theater
extracurricular activities at SMKN 1 Pekanbaru; 2) describe the formation of
student character in the management of theater extracurricular activities at SMKN
1 Pekanbaru; and 3) analyzing and describing theater extracurricular achievements
in the management of theater extracurricular activities at SMKN 1 Pekanbaru. The
type of research used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using
document review, observation and interviews. Informants in research elements in
schools that can be used as sources of data, in this case the principal, student
representatives, and theater supervisors at SMKN 1 Pekanbaru. The type of data
obtained in the form of qualitative descriptive data. The results showed: 1) theater
extracurricular management at SMKN 1 Pekanbaru includes planning,
implementation and evaluation carried out very well and systematically referring
to the Minister of Education and Culture Number 81 A of 2013; 2) the characters
formed, namely; religious, honest, disciplined, creative, confident, independent,
cooperative and responsible; and 3) the extracurricular achievements of the
SMKN 1 Pekanbaru theater are getting better as evidenced by the many signs of
achievement in the form of championship trophies, awards, as well as wider
connections with the community. Thus, it can be understood that the management
of theater extracurricular activities at SMKN 1 Pekanbaru is carried out optimally
and can shape the character of students and improve theater extracurricular
achievements at SMKN 1 Pekanbaru.
