Eksistensi Pedagang Sate Kuok (Studi Pada Pedagang Sate M.Zen Di Desa Kuok Kecamatan Kuok)

The exsistence of Kuok satay traders (Study on the satay trader M.Zen in Kuok Village, Kuok District). This research was conducted in Kuok Village, Kuok District. The purpose and objective of this research is to find out the development efforts made by the Kuok satay traders and to find out what are the obstacles and driving factors for these satay traders in maintaining their existence. This study used descriptive qualitative methods and the selection of informants was carried out using purposive sampling technique. Subjects in this study amounted to 3 people. Data collection technique used are observation, interview and documentation techniques. The theory used is the strategy theory of Pierre Boerdieu. The result of research conducted in effort to develop their the business, informants use several strategies such as making savings, investing by saving, receiving and studying trade knowledge given by closest people such as family and passing back the trade knowledge to their descendants, maintaining economic capital in order to earn income and maintain social capital so that the business is sustainable and also seeks to preserve and increase social recognition by having the characteristic of its business. There is a driving factor in carrying out this strategy so that the business remains lasting and growing. In addition to the driving factors, of course, there are also inhibiting factors experienced by the informants in maintaining their business, both maintaining their characteristics and attracting customers.
