The level of poverty in Mandah District can also be seen from the low income of the
community so that they experience difficulties in fulfilling their daily needs. Also in
the elderly, the elderly including humans who are prone to disease, retirement as for
complaints, it is natural to accept PKH in the hope of improving the quality of life of
the elderly in their old age. benefit recipients. The purpose of this study was to find
out how the lives of elderly PKH recipients are. This research uses descriptive
qualitative method. This study involved 8 informants who were elderly beneficiaries
and 2 people as key informants who were PKH companions and POSYANDU
officers. In determining the informants, researchers used purposive sampling
technique by using collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and
documentation. The results of this study indicate that the existence of Social Capital
that is run (Network, norms, and trust) on every informant studied.
