Village owned enterprises is a business entity established by the village
government by observing the various potentials of the village and theneeds of he
village community which airms to improve the village economy and creates
village independence. The research is located in Sawah Village,North Of Kampar
District, Kampar Regency. The purpose of the research is to see the role and
effectiveness of the village owned enterprises in Sawah Village, North of Kampar,
Kampar. The research has 3 indicators that can be seen in the role effectiveness
of Village Owned Enterprises are indicators of Village Owned Enterprises,
indicators of their institutions, and indicators off effectiveness of Village Owned
Enterprises. The type of research uses a descriptive quantitative approach, there
are 59 people as respondents to the quota sampling technique. The data collected
by using questionnaires, observation, documentation and literature study
technique. The research showed that the average Likert Scale score index of the
role and level of effectiveness of Village Owned Enterprises was improved 83,1%
for the economy in Sawah Village,North of Kampar, Kampar. The driving factor
for Village Owned Enterprises has been said tobe effective to improving the
economy of the Village community, namely that the Village Owned Enterprises
can be used to business capital for the community in Sawah Village
