ABSTRACT
The voting process of changing the head of BEM Universities and Faculties is
carried out by direct election. The implementation for electing the head of BEM
University and Faculty election activities are not carried out simultaneously. This
thing can cause several problems including cost overruns, length of time for
elections, length of calculation process, occurrence of fraud and mass raising.
Therefore, a web-based information system for the election of the head of BEM
FMIPA UNRI was designed which can be used for the election of the head of the
BEM FMIPA University of Riau using e-voting technology which is made with the
PHP programming language and MySQL database as a database. To design the
system using Use Case Diagrams, Class Diagrams and Sequence Diagrams, which
are created using UML (Unified modeling language) software. This study aims to
produce an e-voting application that can help the committee and students in
selecting the head of BEM FMIPA easily and quickly.
