ABSTRACT
Heavy equipment is a tool used to assist and relieve humans in carrying out
development work in a project. One of the development projects is the Trans
Sumatra Toll Road, Pekanbaru Padang Section, Pekanbaru Bangkinang Section.
The use of heavy equipment following the function in the implementation of the
project will so impact project performance. In addition, it will also have an impact
on the costs of implementing the construction project. For the work to run
smoothly, well heavy equipment management arrangements are needed. This
study aims to determine the number, type, and production capacity of heavy
equipment using theoretical data and research data. The conclusion obtained is a
comparison of the combination, cost of use, and heavy equipment usage time,
theoretical data, and research data, as well as knowing what factors affect the
unproductiveness of heavy equipment.
