Sintesis Nanopartikel Zno Dengan Ekstrak Kulit Buah Sentul Sebagai Biostabilisator Menggunakan Teknik Gelombang Mikro
The use of sentul fruit peel (SandoricumKoetjape) as a biostabilizer in the fabrication
of zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles has been carried out as an alternative way to
environmentally friendly production. This study aims to obtain zinc oxide (ZnO)
nanoparticles by reacting 0.2 M Zn(NO3)2.6H2O (zinc nitrate hexahydrate) precursor
solution with sentul fruit peel extract (KBS). Samples were varied based on the ratio
of the volume of the Zn solution to the KBS extract, namely 1:4, 2:3, 1:1, 3:2, and 4:1
where each sample was coded as ZSk. The synthesis was carried out using a
microwave technique with a power of 360 Watt for 3 minutes. Morphology, structure,
optical absorption and functional groups were analyzed based on the results of the
characterization of Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-Ray Diffractometer
(XRD), (Ultra Violet-Visible) UV-Vis Spectroscopy and (Fourier Transform Infra
Red) FTIR, respectively. SEM images show the morphology of ZnO particles in the
form of semi-hollow spheres and macaron-like shapes. The smallest particle size in
the ZSk-4:1 sample is 236 nm. The XRD diffraction pattern show the diffraction
peaks that correspond to the hkl plane of the hexagonal wurziteZnO structure. The
highest optical absorption of the UV-Vis spectrum was founds in the ZSk-1:1 sample
which occurred in the 300-360 nm length range. The FTIR spectrum represents the
involvement of the O-H, C=C and C-O functional groups derived from the
polyphenolic compound of sentul fruit peel. The highest optical absorption of the
UV-Vis spectrum was found in the ZSk 1:1 sample which occurred in the 300-360
nm length range. The FTIR spectrum represents the involvement of the O-H derived
from the polyphenolic compound of Sentul fruit peel. Based on the characterization
results, it can be said that the morphology, structure, optical absorption and functional
groups of ZnO nanoparticles extract on the volume composition of Zn and KBS
solutions.
