Menentukan Efisiensi Masker Terbaik Untuk Penyaring Udara

The use of masks is one of the most effective efforts to prevent the spread of
dangerous viruses such as COVID-19. The masks themselves have many types,
one of which is a medical mask, this mask uses a filter that can prevent harmful
substances in the air. Masks have types that can protect depending on the level of
danger from exposure to harmful particles in the air. This research was conducted
using an experimental method in which the particle penetration power was
measured with variations in the distance (50 cm, 80 cm, 140 cm, 110 cm, 170 cm,
and 200 cm) and variations in source power (lamps) (9 watts, 11 watts, 14 watts,
and 50 watts) using a lux meter. The results showed that the thickness of a mask
and the type of mask can affect the amount of light intensity that enters it. The
best thickness and type of mask that have been obtained in this study are only on
filtered cloth masks which have the lowest intensity value from a distance of 50
cm - 200 cm with a fixed intensity value of 0 at a time variation of 10 minutes
using a 9-watt lamp power and there is no increase in the value. intensity. When
the irradiation distance is further away, the intensity of the light received by the
sample (mask) is getting smaller, because the light source is getting further away,
the light is spread out and the sample (mask) does not receive the intensity of the
light or the light is not focused.
