ABSTRACT
In road planning, pavement is one of the main things that need to be considered.
A pavement is needed to know the exact thickness of the pavement. Road construction
planning is carried out because the Hang Lekir Road section is still a dirt road. The
purpose of this final project is to determine the rigid pavement thickness and design
life.
The method used for rigid pavement planning on the Hang Lekir road section is
the 2017 Pavement Manual. The data needed for rigid pavement planning include:
Average daily traffic data, CBR value data obtained from soil testing with the DCP
tool. Furthermore, these data are included in the calculation of the determination of the
thickness of the rigid pavement slab. The results of the calculation of rigid pavement
planning with the 2017 Pavement Manual method resulted in the type of Concurrent
Concrete with Reinforcement pavement, with a concrete slab thickness of 285 mm, a
thin concrete layer (LMC) of 100 mm, an aggregate drainage layer of class A 150 mm.
Connections on rigid pavements are divided into two, namely longitudinal connections
with tie bars using threads 16-700, and transverse connections with dowels using plain
reinforcement D 36-300, with a planned design life of 40 years.
