Keragaman Trichoderma Spp. Asal Rizosfer Tanaman Kelapa Sawit Di Kabupaten Kampar Dan Potensinya Dalam Mengendalikan Ganoderma Sp. Secara In-Vitro
ABSTRACT
Palm oil is one of the important plantation commodities in Riau Province. One
of the causes of the decline in oil palm production in Riau Province is stem rot disease
caused by the pathogenic fungus Ganoderma sp. This study aims to determine the
diversity of Trichoderma spp. the origin of the rhizosphere of oil palm plants in Kampar
Regency which was attacked by Ganoderma sp. and obtain isolates that have the
potential as control agents. This research consisted of 7 stages, namely: 1) isolation and
purification of Trichoderma spp. using exploratory method, 2) hypovirulence test using
observation method, 3) growth and diameter test of Trichoderma spp. using the
experimental method, 4) test the antagonistic power of Trichoderma spp against
Ganoderma sp. isolate LPTUNRI-Gan002 using experimental methods, 5) test for
hyperparasitism of the fungus Trichoderma spp. which has high antagonistic power
against Ganoderma sp. isolate LPTUNRI-Gan002 using observation method 6)
compatibility test of Trichoderma spp. and (7) morphological identification of
Trichoderma spp. using the observation method. The results showed that Trichoderma
spp. isolates LPTUNRI-Trc001, Trc002, Trc003, Trc004, Trc005 and Trc006 had
morphological diversity similar to 3 species, namely Trichoderma harzianum,
Trichoderma viride and Trichoderma asperellum. The six isolates of Trichoderma spp.
has an inhibitory power of 87-91% and has a hyperparasitism mechanism, namely
entanglement and lysis and all isolates of Trichoderma spp. are compatible and do not
inhibit each other between isolates.
