Pengaruh Media Sosial Tiktok Terhadap Perilaku Remaja Smpn 10 Pekanbaru

Developments in this technological era are skyrocketing with many of the
latest technological innovations. With so many social media that have sprung up
with different versions and functions. The most dominant or many social media
users are teenagers. One of the social media that is widely used by students today
is Tik Tok social media. The emergence of new media (New Media) can have an
effect on the audience. Tiktok application media that is popular among teenagers.
The content and interesting features presented in this application are able to
attract the attention of teenagers to be able to enter into this technological
sophistication. However, with the existence of tiktok social media, teenagers
create excessive video content which should be an entertainment medium, but
instead becomes a place to create inappropriate video content and instead
becomes a problem because it is considered to be making inappropriate (vulgar)
video content for teenagers like what is being said. happened at SMPN 10
Pekanbaru, there were some students who were sanctioned by the school because
they were considered to have violated the school's rules. This study aims to
analyze the influence of Tiktok social media on the behavior of teenagers at
SMPN 10 Pekanbaru City
This study uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques,
namely questionnaires and observations. The population in this study were 844
students of SMPN 10 Pekanbaru City, then a sample of 89 people was drawn. The
sampling technique uses purposive sampling with the consideration that the
sample must have the Tiktok application. The data obtained were analyzed using
Validity Test, Reliability Test and Simple Regression Analysis.
Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that the use of Tiktok social
media could affect the behavior of teenagers at SMPN 10 Pekanbaru. The results
of the study found that there was a significant effect between the use of TikTok
social media and the behavior of teenagers at SMPN 10 Pekanbaru. It is shown
from the results of the regression equation data that the regression coefficient
value is positive (+), so it can be said that the use of TikTok social media has a
positive effect on the behavior of teenagers at SMPN 10 Pekanbaru with the
regression equation Y = 28,773 + 0.407X. This means that the behavior of
teenagers at SMPN 10 Pekanbaru will experience a change of about 0.407 for
each unit of change that occurs in the use of TikTok social media.
