Persepsi Pedagang Sukaramai Trade Center Terhadap Penerapan Kebijakan Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat (Ppkm) Level iv Di Kota Pekanbaru

The implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) is a policy issued to
reduce or overcome the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Based on the circular issued by
the Pekanbaru city government contained in the fifth point, it is said that activities at
shopping centers/malls/trading centers are closed. Sukaramai Trade Center is one of
the largest shopping centers in Pekanbaru which had to experience closure due to
PPKM Level IV, traders experienced a decrease in income and in the end held a
demonstration in front of the Sukaramai Trade Center. The purpose of this study is to
determine the perceptions of traders and to know what factors influence perceptions
of the PPKM policy. The theory used in this study is the theory of perception. This
research is a quantitative research with descriptive type. The population and sample
in this study were Sukaramai Trade Center traders with a sample of 64 people. The
sampling technique used in this study used the slovin formula. Data was collected by
means of questionnaires and field observations. The analysis was carried out by
means of descriptive statistics by describing the data obtained. The results of this
study concluded that the perception generated is a negative perception. In this study
it was found that (100%) of respondents experienced a decrease in sales levels,
(98.3%) felt threatened by selling in the midst of a pandemic, (90.06%) of
respondents made trading their only livelihood, then (89.1%) said PPKM was not the
way to go. right, then all respondents (100%) want PPKM Level IV no longer to be
extended. Meanwhile, external factors (73.4%) were aware of the PPKM policy,
(56.3%) respondents did not understand the policy and (57.8%) respondents were
getting closer to their families during the Implementation of Community Activity
Restrictions (PPKM).
