Research to find out about the model of underground water infiltration in the gate area of Riau
University, Simpang Baru Village, Tampan District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province has been
conducted. The method used in this study was the one- dimensional Schlumberger configuration
geoelectric method. Data processing using Software Progress. Based on the results of data
processing obtained information on rock layers at the research site. The results of data processing
showed on track 1 there is a layer up to a depth of 35.00 meters with a resistivity value of 235.38
- 595.66 ohm meters and a trajectory of 2 there is a layer up to a depth of 40.0 meters with a
resistivity value of 565.44 - 583.70 ohm meters. The results of both the measurement of
resistivity, lithology, analysis (ρs) and underground water catchment values showed that layers
that had good underground water infiltration were found in the clay layer, kerakal distribution,
sandstone and sand and gravel trajectory 1 with an underground water catchment value of 107.38
meters³/year and a trajectory of 2 with an underground water catchment value of 107.38
meters³/year. This means that both trajectories can show good underground water infiltration
with layers of rock.
