ABSTRACT
Indragiri Hulu has several tourist objects that are already known by the public inside
and outside the Indragiri Hulu district, especially Lake Raja which has its own
privileges, which is located in the center of Indragiri Hulu district, namely the city
of Rengat. Raja Lake has great potential as a tourism icon in the Indragiri Hulu
district. Apart from being in the center of the Raja Lake Tourism district, it is also
supported by a replica of the Malay Kingdom, namely the Indragiri Kingdom and
unspoiled natural scenery. The application of the theme of environmentally friendly
architecture to display the natural beauty of the Raja Lake area which will be
applied to regional landscapes and buildings in other words a design that maintains
and preserves the natural environment. become a tourism icon for Indragiri Hulu
district that utilizes the conditions of the surrounding natural environment.
