Sintesis Elektroda Karbon Superkapasitor Dari Rumput Rija-Rija Dengan Aktivasi Zncl2 Pada Konsentrasi Rendah
The fabrication of supercapacitor based on activated carbon electrodes from rijarija
grass biomass has been completed and characterized. The samples were
varied in the concentration of ZnCl2 activating agent with concentrations of 0.4
M, 0.5 M, 0.6 M and 0.7 M. The process was started with the pre-carbonization,
destruction of carbon samples, particle size uniformity followed by chemical
activation process with consecutive sample coding RR-0.4. RR-0.5, RR-0.6 and
RR-0.7. The carbon monolith sample was printed using a hydraulic press to
produce a sample in the form of pellets. The carbon monolith pellet was then
pyrolyzed using a one-step combustion method, namely the carbonization process
for N2 gas absorption up to a temperature of 600°C followed by a physical
activation process with CO2 gas absorption up to a temperature of 900°C.
Furthermore, the carbon pellets were characterized physically and
electrochemically before and after the pyrolysis process using Fourier Transform
Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Cyclic Voltammetry
(V) tests. The specific capacitance value of the optimum rija rija grass carbon
electrode was found in the sample RR-0.6 with a value of 142.62 F/g, energy
density of 19.80 Wh/Kg and power density of 71.35 W/kg.
