Pengaruh Supervisi Kepala Sekolah Dan Disiplin Kerja Terhadap Kompetensi Profesional Guru Sdn Gugus IV Di Kecamatan Tanah Putih, Rokan Hilir
Supervision is very influential on the professional competence of teachers
with the implementation of regular supervision teachers will always try to
improve their competence in a better direction, with improvement in competence
will also affect learning activities that are getting better so as to produce quality
students in accordance with educational goals national. Because teacher
professionalism is a condition, direction, value, purpose and quality of expertise
and authority in the field of education and teaching. A professional teacher must
also have a responsible attitude towards his duties. This can be seen from the
disciplined attitude of a teacher.
The formulation of the problem in this study is (1) Is there any influence of
principal's supervision on the professional competence of SDN Cluster IV
teachers in Tanah Putih, Rokan Hilir District. (2) Is there any influence of work
discipline on the professional competence of SDN Cluster IV teachers in Tanah
Putih, Rokan Hilir District. (3) Is there an influence of the principal's supervision
and work discipline together with the professional competence of teachers in
schools?
This study aims to determine the effect of the variables (1) Principal
Supervision on Teacher Professional Competence, (2) Work Discipline on
Teacher Professional Competence, (3) Principal Supervision and Work Discipline
together on Teacher Professional Competence. Research respondents were
teachers of SDN Cluster IV in Tanah Putih District, Rokan Hilir.
This research is a quantitative research with a cross sectional approach.
Respondents in this study were teachers of SDN Cluster IV in Tanah Putih
District, Rokan Hilir. A sample of 43 people was obtained using the Proportionate
Random Sampling technique. By using the chi square test method. Data was
collected through the distribution of questionnaires as a research instrument. The
data analysis used is descriptive analysis, prerequisite analysis and hypothesis
testing. The instrument reliability coefficient was calculated using the Cronbach
alpha formula. The results showed that there was a positive influence between
Principal Supervision on Teacher Professional Competence of 0.477, and there
was a positive influence between Work Discipline on Teacher Professional
Competence of 0.862. Meanwhile, the simultaneous influence of Principal
Supervision and Work Discipline on Teacher Professional Competence is 0.871.
