Isolasi Dan Karakterisasi Fusarium Spp. Patogen Pada Pisang Lokal Serta Uji Antagonis Trichoderma Spp. Isolat Lokal Terhadap Penyakit Layu Fusarium
Bananas are one of the horticultural fruit products widely cultivated in Indonesia. The country has several local banana varieties, including Kepok, Raja, and Awak, which are susceptible to Fusarium wilt. Fusarium wilt affects more than 70% of local banana varieties. This pathogen significantly reduces the productivity of local banana plants and causes the death of more than 35% of banana crops. The use of biological agents such as Trichoderma can serve as an environmentally friendly alternative for controlling Fusarium. This study aimed to isolate and characterize Fusarium spp. from Kepok, Raja, and Awak banana plants and to evaluate the potential of peat soil-derived Trichoderma spp. as an antagonist in inhibiting the growth of pathogenic Fusarium spp. The research was conducted using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The isolation process identified seven pathogenic Fusarium spp. isolates. Trichoderma spp. exhibited the highest inhibition against Fusarium sp. PK1, with inhibitory rates of 34.32% and 33.25%. Trichoderma GBA 3 showed the highest inhibitory effect on the growth of Fusarium spp. compared to GBA 4.
Key findings: Antagonistic test, Fusarium spp, Fusarium wilt, peat, Trichoderma
