This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of the aplication of the scientific approaches developed in the practice problem solving skills on concept the kinetic theory of gases in the class XI Senior High School of 9 Pekanbaru. This research is descriptive research by Pre-eksperimental design form group Pretest-Posttest. Analysis Techniques is descriptive technique by calculating the percentage of students who are having difficulties, interpret data, conclude data, the activity category of learning, questionnaires. The result analysis of data obtained on the aplication of the scientific approach to practice problem solving skills by very high category obtained at the planning stage of the settlement and carry out plans of completion while in the stage of the understanding the problem and review stages of the retrived category high on the application of the scientific approach to practice problem solving skills.
