Pengaruh Kecerdasan Sosial Dan Lingkungan Kerja Terhadap Kompetensi Sosial Guru SMPS Di Kecamatan Bagan Sinembah Kabupaten Rokan Hilir
This study aims to analyze how the influence of social intelligence and the
work environment either partially or simultaneously on the social competence of
private junior high school (SMPS) teachers in Bagan Sinembah District, Rokan
Hilir Regency.
The research was conducted at 18 SMPS in Bagan Sinembah District,
Rokan Hilir Regency. The time of the research was carried out for three months,
namely from September to November 2021. The population in this study were all
SMPS teachers in Bagan Sinembah District, Rokan Hilir Regency, totaling 102
people. The sampling technique used was random sampling with the Slovin
formula. The number of samples taken were 82 SMPS teachers in Bagan
Sinembah District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The research analysis tool uses
descriptive statistics and simple and multiple linear regression analysis.
The results of the study conclude that partially 1) There is a significant
influence between social intelligence on the social competence of teachers. The
higher the social intelligence possessed by the teacher, the higher the level of
social competence of the teacher. This indicates that to improve the social
competence of teachers, among others, by increasing the social intelligence of the
teacher. 2) There is a significant influence between the work environment on the
social competence of teachers. The higher the work environment owned by the
school, the higher the social competence of teachers. This indicates that to
improve the social competence of teachers, including by improving the work
environment of the teacher. 3) There is a significant influence between social
intelligence and the work environment together on the social competence of
teachers. The higher the teacher's social intelligence and the school's work
environment, the higher the teacher's social competence. This indicates that to
improve the social competence of teachers, it can be achieved through increasing
social intelligence and the work environment in schools simultaneously. The
magnitude of the influence is 42.80% with a moderate or "strong enough"
interpretation. However, there are still 57.20% determined by other factors.
