Prediksi Periode Curah Hujan Di Kota Pekanbaru Menggunakan Metode Fast Fourier Transform
Indonesia is a country with a tropical climate so the region has a fairly high
rainfall. Pekanbaru City generally has a tropical climate with maximum air
temperatures ranging from 34.1º C - 35.6º C and minimum temperatures between
20.2º C - 23.0º C. In this study, predictions of the rainfall period of Pekanbaru
City were made from 2016-2020. This study used the Fast Fourier Transform
method with the data used was monthly rainfall data with a period of 2016-2020.
Rainfall data were normalized firstly to got the largest value equal to 1 using the
min-max normalization formula. The normalized data was entered into the
program that created, namely by applying the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT)
program on the Matlab R2017b software. The result of the FFT program is a
graph that relates the month, frequency, and period to the rainfall and the rainfall
function to the month. The graphs obtained are 4 frequencies, namely 0.016949
cycles/month, 0.050847 cycles/month, 0.084746 cycles/month, and 0.169492
cycles/month, which correspond to the 4 periods obtained, namely 5.90, 11.80,
19.67, 59.00. In regression of 2 and 8 terms, the frequency of f = 0.016958
months/cycle was obtained, while FFT obtained the lowest cycle frequency of
0.016949 months/cycle, indicating a difference of 0.053 %. In regression of 2 and
8 terms, the largest constant is b1 = 0.08439, this indicates that the dominant
function is sin(0.1065 x). The results of this study indicate that the highest rainfall
occurred in November 2016 in the 2016-2020 period.
