ABSTRACT
This research aims to study the stages of white copra agroindustry, analyze
the income of white copra business actors, analyze the added value of white copra,
provide an overview of the tataniaga channel, analyze the margins and efficiency
of white copra administration and formulate suggestions for economic
development of white copra agroindustry in Tempuling District, Indragiri Hilir
Regency. Descriptive methods, income analysis of business actors, hayami
methods and margin and efficiency analysis are used to answer the purpose of the
research. The results of this study are: first, there are two techniques for drying
white copra in the white copra agroindustry in Tempuling Subdistrict, namely
using sunlight and ovens. Second, judging from monthly production, the income
of drying white copra businesses using ovens is eight times greater than using
sunlight. Third, the added value of drying white copra using the oven is relatively
the same as drying using sunlight. however, there are differences in the uptake of
labor. For white copra business actors it is more profitable to use the oven because
the uptake of labor is smaller. Fourth, there are three channels of white copra
governance in Tempuling District. Fifth, judging from the margin and efficiency
value of channel one is the most efficient channel. Sixth, agroindustrial white
copra drying using the oven is an effort to increase the income of business actors.
